While handling and tackling stanchly its strike the British Airways was confused in another fresh controversy during June 2010. The actual story was that in British Airways flights to Lagos ’ internal staff magazine named as LHR news issued from the London Heathrow Airport, the cover page advertised an advanced phone service. The photo displays a smiling check-in steward welcoming a glad passenger while another holds his phone showing up to the camera. A close-up shows that the white boarding pass belongs to Mr. Osama Bin Laden! The al Qaeda’s boss and the most hot topic and extensively discussed person among the current affairs and political issues based TV programs and cheap flights to Lagos.



The cover story is in fact an advertisement of its latest service that allows the British Airways passengers to get a downloadable boarding pass to their iPhones. The boarding pass used shows that Mr. Laden is a frequent passenger of British airways and the seat number 7 – C depicts that he is going to enjoy a safe fly in the first class cabin of the British Airways. Moreover, the photo shows that he is flying using the British Airways flights to Lagos tickets to Washington on 26th Oct 2010. This photo and news created an immense anxiety among the public and passengers of the British Airways and received a special attention from media. Media said that it is such a bad piece of humor and demanded for a thorough investigation for such a serious mistake. So how did this serious mistake happen and by whom? The answer is still that no one knows — or no one wants to tell!



To rationalize the embarrassment one of the British Airways cheap flights to Lagos spokesman said: 'A mistake has been occurred in this internal magazine. We are working to find out how this occurred.' Mr. Patrick Mercer from Daily Express, who has been worked as chairman of the House of Commons sub-committee on counter-terrorism, commented on the issue that "It seems as if British Airways flights to Lagos image has been disrupted most effectively by some internal source". He further added "While this may be cheerful, it is worth looking at the serious security allegations. It does spotlight the mind on how much easier our enemies might find it to get a lawful boarding pass under a system using mobile phones and since the flight on the boarding pass is going to Washington, I have no doubt that this will awaken some tremendously painful memories," he said. A travel site commented that on 26th Oct the terrorism level will be ‘red hot’.
